FIFA announced today (20) in Zurich, the complete match schedule of the 2014 World Cup. Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia are the cities that will receive the highest number of tournament matches, with seven each. Four cities (Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Salvador and São Paulo) will receive six matches.
Cuiabá, Curitiba, Manaus and Natal will receive only four of the 64 World Cup matches, all in the first round. Porto Alegre and Recife, in addition to the four matches of the initial stage, will receive matches of the round of 16.
The secretary general of the international federation, Jerome Valcke, said that all host cities will have matches of at least one seed team in the World Cup.
Brazil squad
Brazil will make the first match in São Paulo, at Itaquera stadium, on June 12th at 5:00 pm. Then it will close the first phase in Fortaleza and Brasilia, on 17th and 23rd, respectively.
If it is the first place in Group A, Brazil squad will play the round of 16 in Belo Horizonte on 28th. Then, until the final, Fortaleza (July 4th), Belo Horizonte (8th) and Rio de Janeiro (13th) will receive Brazil.
If it is the second place in Group A, Brazil will go to Fortaleza on the 29th, for the round of 16. If it wins, will play in Salvador (Wednesday, 5th) and São Paulo (semi-final, 9th).
