Treasury releases R$ 555 million for World Cup works in Fortaleza

This Friday (September 17), the National Secretariat for the Treasury (Secretaria do Tesouro Nacional - STN) granted its authorization for financing of the work under the responsibility of the Government of the State of Ceará for the 2014 World Cup.

The analysis of the STN considered the execution of this credit operation as positive, understanding that “the proponent meets all requirements for this contract agreement”, for a sum of R$ 554.745 million.

Out of the total sum thus obtained, R$ 351.545 million are for the Castelão stadium, R$ 170 million for the construction of the light rail system between Parangaba and Mucuripe, and R$ 33.2 million for the stations on the South Line of the Underground system. All that remains is a date to be set for the signing of the contract.
