2014 Cup Logo could be plagiarism of the symbol of Basket Federation

In the logo used by FIBA, intertwined hands make up a ball, just like in the World Cup symbol

A comment made by reader Felipe Dionísio in the article Designers still criticize the logo of the 2014 World Cup draws attention to the similarity between the World Cup logo as chosen by FIFA and the logo of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).

The drawing can be seen on the site www.fiba.com, and shows five intertwined hands in green, yellow, blue, grey and red, making a basketball. Indeed, the hands are very important in basketball.

However, football is played with the feet. Without further comment, we shall let our readers use their right to compare.
